Knit's Disciples of the Apocalypse
I caught up with our now former ET Regiment Leader, Kipster, for a quick little chat reflecting on the last 2 years

Knit: Wow, it's been a fantastic couple of years, hasn't it! Being the only ET member to properly see it all through from start to finish, how has it been for you to watch the clan progress with every month gone by? What made you strive to carry on, through thick and thin, for all of this time?

Kip:
It's been bloody hard! I have had some really awful times in ET, and alot of the time its been an uphill struggle! But I have met a lot of great and intresting people. I suppose the biggest fuel that kept me going was the guys that played alongside me! Without them there would have been nothing for me to carry on for. But it was not all bad I had some awesome times on Teamspeak and in game, some nights I would be laughing so much I was almost crying!

Knit: What are your most memorable moments and greatest accomplishments on ET?

Kip:
Hmm.... Well I would say the biggest accomplishment for me was finally learning how to do the wall-jump on Oasis!! I could never do it and went for years not being able to do it! But prefer Kapoks as it was manily public playing, I hardly played clan wars etc. Things in ET only started to get good when I joined Kapoks. There were so many memorable things that happend in ET we could be here all day!
One of the things that sticks in my mind is when I first spoke to Lars on Teamspeak! 99% of the time I could never understand a word he was saying, so 99% of the time I would just say "yes" to him! Not having a clue what he was saying! But as time went on, either I got used to the sound of him or his English got better!

Knit: As a young clan, we were all about fun and games! Essentially just a bunch of players getting together and having a few great games together - who could forget the old games of tag?!! Having since moved onto intensive training at a more competitive level, how much have you missed 'the good old days' on 2.55?

Kip:
When we started out on 2.60 it was a new era, so many things were happening and we were having so much fun! But, as time went by, I could see that the strain of competition and constaly aiming to improve our team was having an effect on the team! Everybody missed the good old days on 2.55, so we used to have fun nights playing hide-and-seek each week! I would have to give credit to lars as he was the best person at hiding! It's hard to get a balance of fun and competitive play, and its different for each player! For me, I'm having fun if we are winning, but for others they have more fun by playing the good old games we used to play!

Knit: We've seen a lot of good people come and go in two years, clan members and non clan members alike. Of them all, who were the biggest, most unforgettable characters and were there many 'bad eggs'?

Kip:
The most unforgettable players are the guys who were with me from the start and on 2.55, they made the regiment. It was not just me and it was not any single person; it was the team of truely great guys that made the ET Regiment so strong! The clan was never the same when the old guys left though! But thats not to say the new members did a bad job! Everyone has done a grand job from members old to members new! I will never forget my time In ET. I don't know much, but I do know that I would not be here now writing this if it wasn't for the members of this clan! I will not dare to list the bad eggs but, I can assure you, if I did it would be a small list! As a final note I would like to list a few of the guys who have made a lasting impression on me!

Lars - You are a legend and my time in ET was much more fun with you!
